Emmetsburg got out of the gates quick on Wednesday night scoring 3 runs in the 1st inning and went on to beat Storm Lake 13 – 2 in 6 innings. They scored 13 Runs on 11 Hits and were led by Jacque Carlson 2 – 4 with 4 RBI’s, Micahela Rehm was 2 – 4 with 4 RBI’s including a HR and Miranda Vlasman was 1 – 3 with 2 RBI’s and a HR. Storm Lake scored 2 Runs on 7 Hits and was led by Brenna Richer; she went 2 – 3 at the plate. The winning pitcher was Ashton Connelly pitching 6 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits while striking out 8.
Emmetsburg improves to 4 – 9, 2 – 5 and will be at West Hancock on Thursday. Storm Lake falls to 0 – 11, 0 – 6 and will host HWC on Thursday.
