Kelcie Sillman pitched a perfect five-inning game to lead the Jackson County Central softball team to victory in Edgerton on Tuesday.
The Huskies freshman needed 61 pitches to strike out all 15 of the Flying Dutchmen she faced during the 11-0 run-rule victory.
JCC scored five runs in the first inning, a pair in the fourth, and four more in the fifth.
Braelyn Boogerd and Jessica Dvorak each hit two-run homers. Mady Wachal hit an RBI triple. Kinley VanDeVere and Bailey Finck each smacked an RBI double. Miley VanDeVere and Cora Pauling also doubled in the game. CJ Pauling sacrificed a run across the plate. Miley VanDeVere scored a trio of runs and Finck scored twice.
The 3-0 Huskies will host fellow state-ranked team Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial for their home opener on Thursday and we will have that game on KKOJ.
