The current point standings leader in the race for the Fairmont Raceway hobby stock track championship is local fourth-generation driver Parker Anderson and we talked about his recent debut in Victory Lane during this week’s featured interview.
Fairmont Raceway has weekly USRA racing on Wednesday for the next four weeks beginning with Teacher Appreciation Night on July 12th.
Midseason Championship Night happened at the Worthington Speedway on Saturday.
IMCA feature winners included Dyllan Ricks in Modifieds, Justin Luinenberg in Stock Cars, Brayden Ahlers in Sport Mods, Jaeden Strandberg in Hobby Stocks, and Jason Bolte in Sport Compacts. Brandon VanKlompenburg took home the Outlaw Mini Mods victory and Chris Hoogland won the Bombers main event.
Worthington Speedway is running all weekly IMCA classes and Bombers again this Saturday.
Friday night’s 360 Challenge at the Jackson Motorplex featuring the Midwest Sprint Touring Series and Midwest Power Series 360 sprint cars along with RaceSaver sprint cars rained out. Jackson Motorplex officials could announce a make-up date this week but right now they are scheduled to have run two more races later this month on July 25th and 28th during the Jackson County Fair.
