The Lakes Conference has named Spirit Lake-Okoboji senior Olivia Rohlk as its girl’s tennis Player of the Year, following an undefeated run in league play this spring. Rohlk finished 7-0 during dual conference matches at No. 1 singles, tallying 170 points. That put her 35 points ahead of Emily Ahlers of Le Mars for the top spot. Rohlk is a three time 1st team all Lakes conference player and has a career singles record of 40-7.
Rohlk helped SL-O to a fifteenth-consecutive Lakes Conference championship, and to a pair of regional dual wins last Saturday over Estherville-Lincoln Central and Spencer. Thursday Spirit Lake-Okoboji will compete in Le Mars, where Rohlk will attempt to make her second state appearance where she and partner Natalie Delaney are favored to win the regional doubles title. The regional final of the team duals is Saturday in Le Mars.
