Mylee Larson, Hannah Cole, and Lixon Forsberg led the Martin County West/Butterfield-Odin track and field teams at the St. James Invitational on Thursday.
Larson won the girls shot put, tossed fourth in discus, and took eighth in the triple jump. Cole won the girls triple jump, placed fifth in the 100-meter dash, and took sixth in the long jump.
Maddison Lyon placed third in the 300-meter hurdles. The Mavericks team of Macie Kneeland, Mirta Gracia, Tayavia Maokhamphio, and
Yoselin Perez finished third in the 4×200 Relay. Gracia, Kate Swanson, Inga Olson, and Evelynn Christenson placed fourth in the 4×800 Relay. Kate Swanson took fifth in the 1600-meter run.
St. James-Madelia finished on top of the girls team scores with 127 points, Loyola-Cleveland-MCA scored 117, Tri-City United posted 114, MCW/BO took fourth with 46, and GHEC/T/ML had 23 points.
Forsberg finished runner-up in the boys long jump and took fourth in the high jump. Elliot Reynolds, Braxton Faber, Daiton Veigel, and Brody Cook finished second place in the 4×800 Relay.
Kane Wohlhuter finished fourth in the pole vault. Hayden O’Connor took fourth in the triple jump. Eric Perez Lopez, Hector Lopez Perez, Emmet Olson, and Braxton Faber finished fourth in the 4×200 Relay. Gavin Schoen, Blakeley Scholl, Ron Demand, and Eric Perez Lopez took fifth in the 4×100 Relay. Conrad Gwin finished fifth to lead four Mavericks in a row in the 300-meter hurdles.
Tri-City United finished on top of the boys team score with 105 points, Loyola-Cleveland-MCA scored 89, St. James-Madelia posted 77, GHEC/T/ML had 59, and MCW/BO took fifth with 36 points.
The Mavericks return to action in Blue Earth on Friday.
