The first visit of the Redline Racing Northstar Touring Series to the Jackson Speedway also provided the perfect background for the first appearance of IMCA A Modifieds Saturday night, July 6. The night’s racing action was also the first of the three-race Dominic Bruns Memorial Races, with a $1,000 to win check for the Hometown Motors IMCA Stock Cars on the line for the Feature event.
Feature wins went to Tim Ottenbacher in the MicroSprints. Nate Coopman took the checkers in the Sport Compacts John Briggs won the Hobby Stock feature, while Mtthew Looft won the Sport Mod main event. Bill Boles would win the 305 sprint feature, with James Slawson winning the IMCA A Modified Feature. Skyler Prochaska won the 360 Sprint feature before Jim Larson held of a determined charge from 2012 winner Jake Masters to win the Dominic Bruns Memorial in the Stock Car Feature to cap of the action.
Action resumes Saturday night, July 13, for AGCO Employees Night at historic half-mile on the Jackson County Fairgrounds. Fireworks will also cap of the night.
