The Jackson County Central boys basketball team routed Springfield at home for an eighth straight win on Thursday.
The Huskies led 48-33 at halftime and collected a 94-66 victory to snap an 11-game Tigers winning streak.
Roman Voss led JCC with 26 points, nine rebounds, and eight assists. Carter Buhl scored 15 points, Blaise Rowe collected 13 points, and Weston Rowe added 11 points to put four Huskies in double figures. Both of the Rowes grabbed eight rebounds.
Sullivan Hall put in seven points. Ben Gallagher and Mason Foster each scored five points. Austin O’Reilly and Thomas Bidne each had four points. Michael Riepke scored two points. Jacob Kruger made a free throw.
The 16-5 Huskies visit state-ranked Hills-Beaver Creek on Monday.
Huskies Win Streak Snapped in Blue Earth
The Jackson County Central girls basketball team had a three-game winning streak halted by Blue Earth Area on the road.
The Huskies trailed 38-36 at halftime and lost 78-73 to the Buccaneers. Zadi Farmer led JCC by dropping 31 points.
The 10-13 Huskies host Westbrook-Walnut Grove on Tuesday.
