The Jackson County Central baseball team lost to Luverne on the road Tuesday.
The Huskies lost to the Cardinals 16-6 in five innings.
JCC started the scoring with a pair of runs in the top of the first inning. Luverne scored five runs in the bottom of the second. JCC got one run back in the third to make it 5-3 Luverne. The Cardinals added seven more runs in the home half to make it 12-3 Luverne. The Huskies scored three in the fourth to make it 12-6 Cardinals and extend the game. Luverne scored four more in the fifth to finish off the run-rule victory.
Haiden Warmka had a pair of hits including a double. Jace Jorgenson and Carson Kolander doubled as well. Ben Gallagher singled, walked, and scored twice. Kasey Storm and Holden Stumpf each scored a run as well.
Jorgensen, Kolander, Carson Doescher, Josh Thompson, and Kash Gilbert all pitched for the Huskies.
The 2-2 Huskies visit Pipestone for a doubleheader on Thursday.
