The Harris-Lake Park Softball Team won both ends of a double-header, yesterday, against Clay Central-Everly.
The score in the first game was 14-0, as the Wolves got a double and 4 RBIs from Emily Anderson, who went 2-for-5 at the plate. Katherin Ihnen was also 2-for-5, she had two RBIs. Nichole Rowe was 2-for-4 with two RBIs and two stolen bases. Macy Gunderson was the winning pitcher, as she gave up just one hit.
HLP won Game 2, 10-5, as Gunderson relieved Ihnen on the mound, and picked up her second win of the day, allowing four hits and one run.
At the plate, in Game 2, Ihnen was 3-for-5 with a double and three RBIs. Grace Winters was also 3-for-5 with two runs scored, a stolen base and an RBI. Mariah Gath was 1-for-3 with two walks, two runs scored, two stolen bases, and one RBI.
The HLP Softball and Baseball teams are on the road, tonight, against Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn.
The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn softball team beat Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn, 14-5, last night. The baseball team lost 6-4.
