Clara Brinks shall return and Braelyn Boogerd will make her debut at the State Gymnastics Meet after leading the Jackson County Central gymnastics team to third place at the Section 3A meet on Saturday in Redwood Falls.
Brinks finished fifth place to qualify on the balance beam as part of a sixth-place all-around performance. Boogerd advanced with fifth place on vault during her ninth-place all-around outing.
Lily Brinkman took eighth on beam and was 12th all-around. Harper Jacobsen was 11th on beam and 13th all-around.
The Huskies collected a team score of 133.325 to achieve the goal of finishing at least third place. Worthington and Luverne took the top two spots. Redwood Valley, Pipestone, Marshall, and Windom/Mountain Lake were behind JCC.
The Individual & All-Around Championships will take place on Saturday, January 21 inside Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul with Class A starting at 6:00 p.m.
