Spirit Lake Schools is excited to announce the hiring of our new head volleyball coach, Mr. Beau Dielschneider, beginning with the 2026–27 school year. Beau is no stranger to Spirit Lake Volleyball, and we are thrilled to welcome him back to lead our program.
Coach Beau Dielschneider previously led the Indians for twelve successful seasons prior to stepping down following the 2023 season. During his tenure, he amassed 286 career wins, averaging over 23 wins per season, while building a tradition of excellence and competitive teams. Under his leadership, Spirit Lake advanced to the regional finals multiple times, and he proudly coached five All-State athletes and four Iowa Senior All-Stars.
His impact on athletes extended far beyond high school, helping numerous players continue their volleyball careers at the next level, including:
● Three at the Division I level
● Four at the Division II level
● Five in the NAIA
● One at the community college level
Spirit Lake Schools is excited for Coach Dielschneider to once again lead and develop the volleyball program. His passion for the game, his ability to build strong relationships, and his charismatic leadership style make him an ideal fit for this role.
Athletic Director Rachel Fisher shared, “We are excited to have Coach Dielschneider back leading our volleyball program. He is an excellent leader, phenomenal team builder, and player developer. He has terrific plans for our youth programs, and his passion for the game is unmatched. We are excited to see where he can take Spirit Lake Volleyball!”
Coach Dielschneider added, “I am so thrilled to be back coaching in the Spirit Lake Community School District. In my previous volleyball tenure here, I made a lifetime of memories and was always inspired by how supportive and enthusiastic this community is about its schools and extracurricular programs. I am energized to begin this new journey in the Siouxland Conference and feel incredibly fortunate to lead this program. I cannot wait to work with our athletes, connect with their families, and collaborate with our coaching staff. I’m especially excited to work alongside Coach Jessica O’Rourke, who is already tremendous asset to our program. Let’s start this journey. Go Indians!”
