Connie Norton Homan, 80, of Arnolds Park, IA, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Keelson Harbour in Spirit Lake, IA.
A memorial service for Connie will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 23, 2026, at the Robinson Funeral Home in Spirit Lake, IA. A visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held in the Riverside Cemetery in Spencer, IA. Connie was born on January 3, 1946, in Spencer, IA, to Marcus “Snuff” and Helen (Kabrick) Coughenour. She graduated from high school in Spencer and went on to earn a degree in English from the University of South Dakota. She was united in marriage to Dale E. Norton, Jr. in Spencer, IA, on June 28, 1969. To this union their son Dale E. Norton, III, was born. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1986. She later united into marriage to Walter Homan on July 11, 1997, in Spencer, IA. Connie spent her days working doing what she loved, being an Antique Dealer.
In her free time, she enjoyed supporting her son in all his activities, she was his biggest fan and supporter. She also loved time on the lake and was a very accomplished Captain on the water.
She is survived by her husband Walt Homan of Arnolds Park; son Dale E. Norton, III of Sioux Falls, SD; stepsons Patrick (Kristi) Homan of Waxhaw, NC; and Kelly (April) Homan of Mt. Holly, NC; grandsons Chase and Zachary of Sioux Falls, SD; and extended cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her first husband Dale E. Norton, Jr.
