(Okoboji)– Students involved in the Okoboji Foundation’s Youth in Philanthropy program are hoping to raise $75,000 for their 2024 grant session. Organizers say it’s the highest fundraising goal in the history of the program.
The funds raised will allow students to award funds toward various community projects in the Iowa Great Lakes. The Youth in Philanthropy grants are entirely guided by student decisions. The grants will be awarded in March.

High School students from Harris-Lake Park, Okoboji and Spirit Lake are involved in the program.
