(Okoboji)– The Iowa Great Lakes Rotary Club recently donated $500 to the Okoboji Foundation’s Youth In Philanthropy program.
Youth in Philanthropy has been in existence more than 13 years. It teaches the next generation about the importance of community giving.
Okoboji Foundation President Mindy Gress said they are “honored to have our local Rotary members recognize the hard work, dedication, and impact of our YIP students.”
Kathy Fahy, membership chair of the Iowa Great Lakes Rotary, said they “hope students continue to learn the value of giving back and being involved”. She added that perhaps someday “they will seek continued community impact through membership with the local Rotary Club.”
