(Arnolds Park)– The Okoboji Foundation’s Youth in Philanthropy program is half-way to their goal to raise $55,000 for grant awards.
The group will read and score Community Needs Grant Applications, including requests of $500 to $24,999, received by the Okoboji Foundation by March 1st, 2023. The students look for capital projects that make a vital difference for the future of the Lakes Community.
If you would like to sponsor a particular student, simply send a check to the Okoboji Foundation for the benefit of YIP and indicate the sponsored student in the memo line to PO Box 593, Okoboji IA 51355 or online at www.okobojifoundation.org/yip Fundraising will continue through March 31st.
25 students from several area high schools are participating once again this year. The Youth In Philanthropy program runs annually from October through May.
