(Arnolds Park)– Students in the Okoboji Foundation’s Youth In Philanthropy program are keeping busy over the holidays. They’ve launched their eighth annual “Project Christmas”. Through an anonymous donation from a foundation member, Youth in Philanthropy students are provided funds to purchase gifts for less fortunate families and foster families in Dickinson county. This year’s program helped make the season brighter for 36 local children.
Students also sponsored a holiday tree at the Great Lakes Mall to support Upper Des Moines Opportunity. Each sponsored tree represents a specific food need, with the one sponsored by Youth in Philanthropy focused on cereal donations.
