Worthington Man Sentenced In Sibley Bomb Threat Case

(Sibley)– A Worthington, Minnesota man has been sentenced for making a false bomb threat against a Sibley company.

35-year-old Matthew Taylor pleaded guilty March 27th to a charge of false report of a bomb threat…a class “C” felony.

Taylor was ordered to pay a fine of 7,138-dollars plus restitution and a civil penalty.

Taylor was also placed on probation for three years and was ordered to continue receiving mental health treatment from a facility deemed appropriate by his probation officer.

According to court documents, Taylor called 9-1-1 on October 15th of last year and falsely reported a bomb was located at the Exopac Plant in Sibley.
