(Spirit Lake)– There’s a new development to report in the case of a woman accused in the murder of a Lake Park woman back in 2020. Online court documents show 27-year-old Allison Decker has waived her right to a jury trial.
Decker was charged in the death of Angel Bastman of Lake Park.
Another person charged in the case, Justice Berntson, pled guilty late last year to attempted murder as part of a plea deal. He reportedly will testify against Decker. He has not yet been sentenced. That’s expected to happen following Decker’s trial, which is currently set to begin May 17th in Dickinson County District Court.
