(Paullina)– A Paullina woman has been arrested on theft charges after an alleged incident at the Paullina Dollar General store. A criminal complaint accuses 45-year-old Shawna Johnson of Paullina of making improper transactions. She was arrested on Thursday of last week.
Johnson is accused of transferring over $8,000 in store funds into PayPal accounts owned by her. Johnson was charged with second-degree theft, a class D felony. If convicted, she could face up to five years in prison.
A preliminary hearing in the case is set for this Friday in O’Brien County District Court.
