Thursday, November 10 is Winter Weather Preparedness Day in Iowa. Dickinson County Emergency Management Coordinator Mike Ehret tells KUOO news, that now is the time to get ready for the upcoming season. Number one on the list, he says, is making sure you have a survival kit in your vehicle.
Ehret adds that it’s also a good idea to make sure you are stocked up on the basic necessities at home as well.
