Winter Weather advisory posted for Northwest Iowa

(Spirit Lake) –
A winter weather advisory is in effect from 7 pm Sunday to 7 pm on Monday for much of Northwest Iowa.  
The National Weather Service says snow and strong winds are expected to create hazardous driving conditions during the advisory period.   Accumulations of 1 to 3 inches of snow is likely, with Northwest winds 25 to 35 miles an hour, possibly gusting to 45 miles an hour.
Reduced visibilities are likely with this storm system.   
Caution is urged when traveling, especially in open areas. 
Winter Storm Warnings and Blizzard Watches are posted for Western Minnesota, with Wind Advisories in effect for most of South Dakota in connection with the system.
