We are under another winter weather advisory today from now until 6pm tonight. A wintry mix of precipitation will move through the area with heaviest precipitation focused around the middle of the day. Accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are possible for parts of our listening area in northwest Iowa including the Iowa Great Lakes and also southwest MN. Ice accumulation of one tenth of an inch is also possible today so plan on slippery roads and give yourself extra time to get to your destination. We’ll get another round of light snow on Saturday. The exact tract is not yet known but we could possibly get another 1 to 3 inches on Saturday. The most important part to be aware of as we head into the weekend is that the temps are going to be dangerously cold. We’ll have dangerously cold wind chills on Saturday as low as 10 to 20 below zero and on Sunday from 15 to 30 below zero.
