(Emmetsburg)-It’s the music of Fleetwood Mac Thursday night in Emmetsburg. KUOO’s Becky Thoreson has details:
The Wild Rose Casino and Hotel will present Fleetwood Mask – The World’s Premiere Fleetwood Mac Tribute Thursday evening.
Guitarist Christopher Zerbe says the band is endorsed by the legendary Mick Fleetwood. “About 7 or 8 years ago, the band was in Maui and got to have lunch with Mick Fleetwood and meet his Mom, and he answered a ton of questions and really took a liking to the group and got a feel for the authenticity of it so that’s when the endorsement came into play. We’ve been so humbled and blessed, I couldn’t even put that into words, of course, that he did that. we’re only 1 of 2 bands in the world that have his endorsement, and the only one in The Americas.”
He adds that the group brings the audio and visual experience of the original band. “That’s where the authentic gear comes into play because we think that if you want to sound the most like Fleetwood Mac, you’ve got to use what Fleetwood Mac used. I mean, that’s just down to the Nth degree of detail. So, we’ve got all of the equipment we need to do all of the eras and all of the clothing, a lot of it is hand made, specifically, the Stevie Nicks wardrobe and some of my leather jackets and things, as well.”
The doors will open at 6 with the show at 7 Thursday night at the Wild Rose in Emmetsburg.
