(Spirit Lake)– There were some tense moments Wednesday in some Spirit Lake School buildings when an active shooter alarm was being tested after some software upgrades were made to the system.
In an email to district patrons, administrators say not everyone had been made aware the test was going to be conducted, resulting in panic among some in the buildings.
The email says the district apologizes for the confusion. It goes on to say they are working to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
