May 18, 2022 Steve Schwaller

(Rock Rapids)– A welfare check by a Lyon County Sheriff’s Deputy this past Sunday resulted in the arrest of an Ashton woman. Authorities say the deputy discovered an illegal substance after making contact with the woman, identified as 50-year-old Amanda McDonald of Ashton. McDonald was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance…methamphetamine; and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Lyon county jail.
