(Spencer)– A weekend traffic stop in Clay county landed a Spencer teen in jail on a drug charge.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle Saturday evening on a county road. A subsequent investigation resulted in deputies finding what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia and a bottle of liquor.
Upon further investigation, authorities determined the drug paraphernalia allegedly belonged to a passenger in the vehicle, 18-year-old Murray Scott of Spencer. Scott was placed under arrest and was booked into the Clay county jail on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
The driver, Christian Lamoureux was cited and released for underage alcohol possession.
