Weekend Traffic Stop Lands Sheldon Man In Jail

November 22, 2014

(Spencer)– A weekend traffic stop in Clay county landed a Sheldon man in jail.

The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy pulled over a vehicle Saturday evening in Spencer being driven by 25-year-old Joshua Springer of Sheldon. Upon investigating the deputy learned Springer had been driving the vehicle with a barred license.

A further investigation involving the Spencer Police Department’s K-9 unit turned up what’s alleged to be drug paraphernalia.

Springer was booked into the Clay county jail on charges of driving while barred and possession of drug paraphernalia.
