(Spencer)– A Spencer man was arrested on multiple charges Monday during a warrant check.
Spencer police say officers responded to 916 2nd Avenue West and found 32-year-old Daniel Douglas who had a valid arrest warrant for a probation violation. Authorities say Douglas fled from police on foot before being stopped a short distance later, where he continued to resist. Officers then deployed a taser but in the process of doing that, Douglas was able to remove it from the officer as the altercation continued. Douglas was eventually brought into custody and was booked into the Clay county jail where he was charged with the probation violation warrant along with disarming a police officer and interference with official acts. Bond was set at $10,000.
