(Wahpeton)– A public hearing at Monday’s Wahpeton City Council meeting on some upcoming street projects drew no comments. Jason Eygabroad of Beck Engineering is overseeing the project for the city. He told the council the project consists of replacing the pavement on Kansas Avenue along with Hill Street and Oak Street…
“Right now it’s laid out where Kansas would start roughly mid-August with the intention of that being completed by this fall, and then next spring move over to the Oak and Hill loop. I guess if things go really well or we decide to change up some of the staging and what not, maybe there’s a chance of doing both of them at the same time, but generally speaking the intention is to let everybody enjoy as much summer as possible; mid-summer we’ll start on Kansas and then generally speaking it will probably be next spring they’ll come over and do the loop at Oak and Hill.”
Eygabroad says the project will also include some storm sewer and water main replacements.
Bainbridge Construction of Kingsley, Iowa, will be the general contractor.
