The Humane Society of Northwest Iowa will hold their annual Wags & Whiskers in The Park on Wednesday, June 21.
Shelter Manager Hailey Dirks says, the event is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year. “Wags & Whiskers is actually one of our biggest fundraisers of the year. It’s where a vast majority of our yearly funds comes from. So, donations towards this event, or donations in general, they go towards maintaining the building, keeping our lights on, and the biggest priority is keeping these animals healthy. You know, the Vet visits, and the good food, the good medicine, it keeps them happy and healthy while they’re here until they can go home to a family.”
She notes that tickets are available in advance. “So, there’s a couple different ways that you can get tickets. You can get them here at the Shelter, you can give us a call, you can shoot us an email, or stop in. We are open Monday through Friday noon to 4, so stop in, or you can go online.”
Wags & Whiskers will kick off at 5 o’clock Wednesday evening at The Roof Garden Ballroom.
