(Spirit Lake)– The Dickinson County Conservation Board is putting out a call for volunteers to help out this Thursday (Oct. 25th) in the clean-up of the Tom Grein Audubon Sanctuary on the east side of the 2400 block of Denver Avenue in Spirit Lake. A 6th grade science class at Spirit Lake Middle School last year studied the sanctuary’s eco system, took pictures, drew maps and did research. Last spring members of the class presented their findings and recommendations to the Northern Prairie Lakes Audubon Society, which gave the class $1,000 to implement most of the recommendations.
