(Spirit Lake)– Two people were injured when a van collided with a semi Thursday on Highway 86 near Cutty’s.
The Dickinson County Sheriff’s Office says 51-year-old Mark Mendenhall of Fort Dodge was driving a 2014 Toyota Sienna southbound when he crossed the centerline and collided with a northbound semi tractor/trailer driven by 51-year-old David Marso of Sioux Falls.
Mendenhall and a passenger in his vehicle, 43-year-old Angela Hasken of Hartley, were taken by ambulance to Lakes Regional Healthcare with incapacitating injuries. No injuries were reported to Marso.
The Spirit Lake and Milford Police Departments, Spirit Lake Fire Department, Spirit Lake First Responders, Lakes Regional Healthcare ambulance and Jennings Tow and Repair assisted on the scene.
The collision took place a little after 11:00 am. Authorities say it remains under investigation.
