(Spirit Lake)– Some utility work will result in the closure of a busy street in Spirit Lake next week. City officials say beginning Tuesday, May 31st, Hill Avenue south of 28th Street to the north side of 36th Street will be closed. Traffic will be detoured by taking 36th Street east to Erie Avenue, north to 28th Street and back west to Hill Avenue, or the reverse.
Residences in the affected area accessed off Hill Avenue on the west side will be able to come in from the south on Hill Avenue where the barricades are located, but no local access will be available from the north.
City officials say the work is expected to take about two weeks to complete, depending upon the weather.
