(Spirit Lake)– Officials with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service were in the Iowa Great Lakes Wednesday to gather public input on future uses and management of the various wetlands the agency oversees locally through its Iowa Wetland Management District. The agency’s Tim Miller manages the Union Slough Wildlife Refuge in north-central Iowa, which serves as the region’s headquarters for the agency. Miller says in addition to the one in Dickinson county, similar sessions have been hled in places like Algona and Clear Lake. He says the one held in the Iowa Great Lakes drew the best attendance.
