Upcoming Business Recognition Luncheon Will Pay Tribute To Toby Shine, A Corridor Co-Founder

November 18, 2025

(Spirit Lake)– The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation holds its annual Business Recognition Luncheon in January. In an update at this (Tues.) morning’s Dickinson County Board of Supervisors meeting, Corridor CEO Curt Strouth said the event will include special recognition for Toby Shine who recently passed away…

“It will be a little but unique year, this year, being able to recognize the profound impact that he had on creating the corridor back in 1992 with Bruce Tamisea, Toby, and Herman Richter were the three founders of the corridor. So kind of a sentimental moment understanding and realizing that he had passed away. But as you all know Toby, he was a great advocate of business here in the region and a big supporter of everything that we’ve done.”

The Corridor’s Business Recognition Luncheon will be held January 28th from 11:30 am until 1:00 pm at the Clay County Regional Events Center in Spencer. You can register for the event by contacting the Corridor office in Spencer.
