(Spencer)– The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says deputies broke up an underage drinking party over the weekend at a rural Spencer address.
Deputies say they were called to 1930 Highway 18 around 2:00 a.m. Sunday after getting a report of a possible underage drinking party. Upon arriving deputies made contact with a number of juveniles and confirmed that several had been drinking. Some managed to flee the residence as deputies were arriving. Two were taken into custody and cited for minor in possession of alcohol. They were then released.
