U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley Makes A Stop In Milford

November 12, 2025

(Milford)– U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley made a stop this (Wed.) afternoon at Milford Manufacturing/Clary Lake Service. The main topic of discussion was the federal government shut down. Grassley says he would be in favor of an automatic continuing resolution that would avoid future shutdowns…

“Senator Langford and Senator Johnson and I have voted for both of these approaches. They would have what you call an automatic continuing resolution so when you get to October 1st you just continue spending without any government shutdown. The Langford vote, I remember, now that goes back two or three years, he got 56 votes, he needed 60 to bring it up. And I’ve told Senator Langford he needs to move again in that area and I will still support him, and I am also glad to hear that President Trump has come out for an automatic continuing resolution so we don’t have any more government shutdowns.”

The Senate has already approved an agreement that would end the shutdown. Grassley says he’s confident the House will approve it tonight (Wed.) and that President Trump will sign it.
