(Sheldon)– A two-vehicle collision Thursday evening on Highway 60 two miles south of Sheldon sent two people to the hospital.
The Sioux County Sheriff’s Office says 55-year-old Paula Haarsma of Sioux Center was driving a 2007 GMC northbound and 42-year-old Leah Herda of Alton was driving a 2014 Nissan southbound. Authorities say Haarsma lost control of her vehicle which crossed the median and collided with the one driven by Herda.
Haarsma was taken by ambulance to the Sheldon hospital while Herda was taken to the Orange City hospital.
