Two NW Iowa Teachers Receiving Special Recognition

(Undated)– Two northwest Iowa teachers are receiving some special recognition. Beth Oolman, a middle school language arts teacher at Maurice-Orange City, has been named Northwest Regional Teacher of the Year. Melanie Bloom, an ag teacher at Sioux Central, has been named Prairie Lakes Regional Teacher of the Year.

Oolman and Bloom are among nine teachers from throughout Iowa being recognized with the first-ever Iowa Regional Teachers of the Year award established by the Iowa Department of Education. Nominations are submitted by educators, students, families and fellow Iowans.
