(Des Moines)– The Sioux Central and Marcus-Meriden-Cleghorn-Remsen-Union Community School Districts have been selected to participate in a program leveraging school-community partnerships to expand access to child care while supporting high school students earning a national child development credential.
Sioux Central and MMCRU are among five districts throughout Iowa that were awarded over $140,000 for the program. The funding is through the Iowa Department of Education. The pilot program is a joint venture between that agency and Iowa Health and Human Services.
