Two Men Face Weapons Charges Following Incident At A Milford Apartment Building

February 01, 2023 Steve Schwaller

(Milford)– An investigation by Milford police into a report of shots possibly being fired resulted in the arrests of two men.

Criminal complaints say officers were called a little after 5:30 pm Tuesday (Jan. 31st) to an apartment at 1209 6th Street in Milford. 32-year-old Neil Moore of Estherville is accused of threatening a person with a knife. Moore was arrested and charged with assault while displaying a dangerous weapon and trespassing, 1st offense.

Another man, 31-year-old Guillermo Perez Valdez of Milford, who lives in the apartment building, was charged with reckless use of a firearm and assault while displaying a weapon…in this case, a pistol…which police say was fired into the ground as a warning shot.

Both Moore and Perez Valdez were booked into the Dickinson county jail.

Criminal complaints don’t say what it was that resulted in the altercation.
