(Emmetsburg)—Two men escaped serious injury when a semi overturned Saturday morning on Highway 4 about four miles south of Graettinger.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office says Jermain Mickens of Memphis, Tennessee was driving a 2012 International semi southbound when he lost control. The rig went into the west ditch and overturned, coming to rest on the passenger side.
Mickens and a passenger, James Jones of Las Vegas, Nevada, were both checked over on the scene by paramedics. Both refused treatment.
Mickens was cited for failure to maintain control.
The crash took place around 6:18 a.m.
The Palo Alto County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Graettinger Fire Department and ambulance crew.
