(Estherville)– Two men face drug charges in separate arrests back on August 24th of this year in Emmet county.
The Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Tyron Porter of Spirit Lake was pulled over for a traffic stop at the intersection of 5th Street and Central Avenue in Estherville a little after 1:00 pm. A deputy could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. Porter was charged with possession of a controlled substance…1st offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The other arrest took place during a traffic stop a little later the same afternoon. A deputy pulled over a vehicle for a traffic stop on West 14th Avenue North in Estherville and discovered the driver, 25-year-old Gerardo Rosas of Estherville, had a suspended license. A controlled substance and drug paraphernalia were discovered and a 9 millimeter handgun was seized. Rosas was arrested on charges of possession of a controlled substance…marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, persons ineligible to carry dangerous weapons, driving with a suspended license, no proof of insurance and driving with an obstructed view.
