(Des Moines)– Two area communities will be receiving funding through Community Development Block Grants and the Home Investment Partnership Program.
The allocations are from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and are being divied up by the Iowa Department of Economic Development.
The program helps expand the supply of decent, affordable housing for low and very-low income families.
Locally, the cities of Hartley and Sanborn were each awarded 277,200-dollars to ehabilitate eight units in each community.
