(Storm Lake)—A Hartley man escaped injury in a freak accident late Wednesday afternoon near Storm Lake.
The Iowa State Patrol says 60-year-old Richard Harris of Hartley was driving a 2007 Mack truck eastbound on North River Road about 2/3 of a mile west of Highway 71 in Buena Vista county when the south edge of the road gave way. The truck rolled off the road onto the passenger side into the ditch.
Damage was estimated at $25,000.
