(Spirit Lake)—The poor condition of a street in the Triboji Beach area was a topic of discussion at Tuesday’s Dickinson county board of supervisors meeting. A couple that lives on a stretch of Lakeview Drive requested the county do something to improve it, saying they pay property taxes and that they feel they’re being discriminated against because they’ve maintained the street on their own in the past.
Assistant County Attorney Lonnie Saunders responded, saying the county has no jurisdiction over the street because it’s a private road. He says that while the some of the streets in the Triboji Beach area were accepted into the county’s road system back in 1983 that this particular street was not. He suggested the couple take their concerns to the Triboji Beach Betterment Association.
