Trial Date Set For Several Former City Officials In Armstrong

(Armstrong)– Some former city officials in Armstrong are scheduled to go on trial this coming fall. Craig Merrill, Connie Thackery and Gregory Buum were charged in connection with an investigation into alleged misconduct. A myriad of charges were filed including ongoing criminal conduct, theft, felonious and non-felonious misconduct in office, among others. Merrill, Thackery and Buum are all scheduled to go on trial November 15th, 2022 in Emmet County District Court.

Two other former city officials, Tracy Lang and Mary “Kate” Staton, were also cited in the investigation. They have have pled guilty to charges against them.
