(Spirit Lake)– Some tree work next week is going to result in some periodic closures of portions of Hill Avenue in downtown Spirit Lake.
City officials say the work is scheduled to start Monday with certain blocks being closed one day each. They say the work on each block should be completed by late afternoon with the street being blocked off one day each. Vehicles should not be parked overnight in those areas so as not to interfere with the work. City officials say barricades will likely go up as early as 5:00 am or so.
Days for each block include Monday between 15th and 16th Streets; Tuesday between 16th and Lake Street; Wednesday between Lake Street and Highways 9 & 71 and Thursday between Highway 9 and 19th Street. East/west streets will remain open.
