(Undated)– Some challenging travel conditions continue across the region this (Friday) morning. Roads, including many highways, continue to have stretches of ice, snow cover and compaction. In addition, a strong northwest wind continues to cause issues with blowing snow and ground drifting in open areas.
Forecasters say the wind and snow showers should finally come to an end tonight (Fri.). Some extremely cold weather is headed our way next week with daytime highs by Thursday not getting above zero. Overnight lows by then could approach 20 degrees below zero.
