(Emmetsburg)– The Regional Emergency Response Trianing Center in Emmetsburg is the recipient of new equipment made possible by a donation from the Palo Alto Gaming Development Commission.
The 7,750-dollars was used to purchase a dozen radios with specially designated frequencies; two smoke machines with a generator and a portable shed to store the equipment.
The grant from the commission was matched 25 percent by state training facility grant money.
The Regional Emergency Response Training Center was opened in April of 2008 but lacking this type of equipment.
